Each commission is individually created in professional soft pastel or charcoal, with careful attention to detail, character and expression.
Whether you are commissioning a beloved pet or a family portrait, the process is straightforward and personal.
Sizes & Investment
Portrait pricing is based on size and complexity, as well as rendering.
Charcoal Colour
A4 (8.3 x 11.7 in) - From £225 - £255
A3 (11.7 x 16.5 in) - From £340 - £385
A2 (16.5 x 23.4 in) - From £520 - £575
Additional subject +40% of base ( i.e. set commission size A3 in charcoal @ £340).
Detailed background + £65 - £150
Rush delivery - under 3 weeks + 25% (subject to availability)
A 40% deposit secures your booking, with the remaining balance due to prior to delivery.
International shipping is available.
The Process
1. Enquiry
Send your chosen photograph along with your preferred size.You confirm that you own or have permission to use the photo provided and agree that I retain the right to photograph and display the finished work.
2. Review & Confirmation
I assess the image quality, confirm composition, and provide final quote.
3. Booking
A 40% non-refundable deposit to confirm a slot, balance due within 7 days of the final invoice, quotes valid for 30 days.
4. Creation
Your portrait is carefully drawn by hand over multiple sessions.
5. Completion & Delivery
Once approved, the portrait is securely packaged and shipped.
Choosing the Right Photograph
The quality of the reference image is essential.
I recommend:
* Natural lighting
* Clear focus on the eyes
* High-resolution images
* Minimal heavy shadows
If you are unsure, I am happy to advise before booking.
Turnaround Time
Typical completion time is 3-6 weeks depending on size and current workload.
If your portrait is intended as a gift with a specific deadline, please mention this in your enquiry.
Framing
Portraits are supplied unframed unless otherwise requested.
Framing advice can be provided upon request.
Framing could cost and additional £65 - £95 or if subject to specialist sizing may incur further costs i.e. TruView Glass = glass where you cant see any glass as the glare has been taken out.
